Arabic chat: free Arab chat rooms, and no sign-up
Aweena is a place to write in Arabic. Public rooms, and a private thread only after the other person accepts. The entry form does not ask for a phone number or a face photo.
How it works
You pick a nickname of two to twenty characters, a gender or “prefer not to say”, an age from 18 to 99, a country, and an emoji. There is no password on that step. Email is optional later, and only if you want to recover the same identity. The writing itself is the product.
Rooms
Thirteen rooms stay put: a general room, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, Iraq, Algeria, the Maghreb for Morocco and Tunisia, Arabs in Europe, and Arabs in the United States and Canada. You can join up to five and read one at a time. You can reply to a line in the room. Public-room activity shows as a simple level, with no prizes. Visitors who have not entered do not see the messages.
Safety
A block hides that person’s lines from you. A report needs a reason. Repeated qualified reports from different people pause sending automatically for a while. There is no ad tracker on these pages. Details are in staying safe without an account.
Radio
After you enter, the radio is on every page of the app: a «الراديو» (radio) tab at the bottom of a phone screen, a block under «ملفي» (my profile) in the side menu on a computer, a button at the top of a private chat, and a radio bar above the messages in a room. On a phone, once a station starts, a small strip with pause and next stays above the tabs. One list: Quran first, then tarab and other stations. Sound never starts by itself. Your browser connects to the station directly, not through a profile we built to follow you.
Questions
What is Aweena for?
Conversation in Arabic: public rooms by country, and private chats after the other person accepts. No account and no phone number to enter.
Do I need an account?
No. A nickname, a gender or “prefer not to say”, an age from 18 to 99, a country and an emoji are enough to enter. Email is optional and is never shown in the room.
How long do messages stay?
Not forever: older room and private messages are deleted automatically, and you can delete a private thread yourself. You can join up to five rooms, reply inside a room, and see a simple level from public messages. There are no prizes.
What if someone will not stop?
Block them, or report them from their profile. Blocking is immediate on your side. Repeated reports can pause their sending.
Longer notes live in the articles. The Arabic entry, with the form, is on the Arabic home.
